UID – a Mega project.

Preparation of UID number and circulation/issue to general public, if it could be arranged through banks or schools, etc. it could be continued in a better way which give more easy access to the general public.

I had seen 2 types of application forms. One being circulated by LIC and the other one I collected from a property dealer. I have copies of both. It is observed that the details/information asked in the form are different. LIC form is asking more details but the form collected from the property dealer does not have that much.

Don’t you feel that the forms should be required uniformity in all nature, everywhere? Don’t you like it to reduce the burden of public to complete the process in an easy way?

Is it possible to introduce the separate site for the same and get the required details through internet or e-mail through the particular site. If so, I believe, 80% applicants of the urban areas 10% will get it done by t others through internet and the balance will submit their application physically at the designated counters of UID. I hope it is more easy to UID office bearers as they do not need to feed the data again in their system. For rural areas, this can be done through UID deputed employees at schools and banks. After collecting the data from the applicants, UID can decide the centres according to their residing address and ask them to be present in the concerned/designated local processing office. Candidates can approach the local processing office (it may be school or bank, whatever it is) with necessary documents and submit the required documents to complete all the process of UID quickly on the spot basis. The local/designated offices must have the arrangements to take photo and biometric scanning system etc.

I believe this type of process can give better service to public. The property dealer who initiates the process of UID is as follows :
