How to check and Enquire Aadhar UID Card Status

We all know that UID cards are gaining importance among Indian masses. They have been introduced by Indian government to create social security and preservation of citizen’s unique identity. UID cards contain a Unique Identification Number that preserve and maintain social identity of a person.

Unique Id numbers to fight corruption in India

Former Indian president APJ Abdul Kalam Azad also known as “Missile Man of India” considered Unique Identification Numbers as effective weapons against corruption. In a meeting held at Chennai in 11th July 2010 Mr. Abdul Kalam told that unique identification cards or Aadhaar identification numbers will help in checking corruption spread among services of public delivery.

Mr. Nandan Nilekani, the administrative chairman of UIDAI also declared that Aadhaar or Unique Identification Numbers will reach all Indian masses within a short period. He also added that in the first four years, Unique Identification Authority of India will be issuing Aadhaar identity cards to nearly 4 million people. These identity numbers will help citizens of the country while making official applications for loans, passports, license and ration cards. The greatest challenge for all in India is creation of duplicate or false social identities. Many criminals, anti social elements and terrorists are carrying illegal activities within the country using false or duplicate social identifications. UID numbers are going to help in the process of tracing absconding persons and illegal immigrants living in India with duplicate identities.

How to check UID Card status

It should be noted that status of UID cards or UID numbers can be checked by visiting the official website of UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). The home page of this official website contains two check boxes of enrollment status. One can confirm current status of his/her UID cards by filling his enrollment number and date of enrollment application. It should be noted that seeing the growing consciousness of UID cards many illegal agencies are selling enrollment forms of UID and exhorting money from people. UIDAI has officially declared that enrollment forms of UID are totally free. They can easily be downloaded from the website of UIDAI. One can use these forms and submit them to the nearest center of UID after filling required data in it. In case if an Indian resident/citizen finds any person or group selling enrollment forms of UIDAI, he/she can legally register a complaint against such illegal sellers, at the official UIDAI call center. I along with my wife & daughter have gone to Alankit ( Near M2K -Cinema ) ROHINI, DELHI on 12.07.2011
along with the Form & other related documents for issue of UID Card

all the formalaties such as Thumb Impression Photo & Eye Scan was got done on the same day & the detail
of En. No & Tme & Date is givben here under, It is a matter of surprize that the required card has not been delevered to us till date & when we check the status in the web site it is always stating under Process,

I am fil to understatnd how much time the process will take as the people who have applied after me have got the UID
cards.

My enrolment no. is1104/20044/01268 dated10.03.2011. My entire family had enroled on the same day nos. 1104/20044/01264 to 1104/20044/01268 almost 11 months are passed. I had called in month of July11 on helpline no. where answer was given is work is in process & in Nov 11 answer was your card is ready & has to be dispached.
it is disappointing. I have found that the people who had enroled later have received the cards. that shows how careless work is going on. no one know what procedure is going on. how long it is going to take to dispach & to receive a letter in thane by post dept. or the answer was given to me was usual record.
commen paople are always given harrasment.like in between mumbai mun.corp. had decleared that without AADHAAR CARD municiple workers will not be given salary.
